Hi guys!
Finally the weather is getting a little better. I enjoyed a sunny Fall weekend, which was very welcome after those rainy weeks since I came back from Greece. As promised, today I’ll tell you everything about our stay in Mykonos. I’m 99% sure that this is the island you were waiting impatiently for to hear about my stories. Because it’s known as the most decadent party place of Greece, and because you see all of your favorite bloggers having pretty Instagram pictures shot in Mykonos, isn’t it?

Well, I can say I won’t disappoint you, Mykonos is really beautiful. Especially it’s beaches! But… I have to admit that I liked Santorini, for instance, more. More friendly people, more places of interest and less drought in the landscape. I guess that the thing that I liked more about Mykonos was it’s town with cute little blue-and-white streets, and some more exclusive shops like Louis Vuitton, Victoria’s Secret, Philip Plein,… Other shops made me think of those you have in Saint-Tropez: lots of colors, feathers and sparkles. Things you just don’t see every day and aren’t available everywhere: my credit card can tell!

About the partying: I think that we were a little too late to participate in big beach parties and all that kind of stuff. At the end of September the big closing parties have already passed, so I recommend you to go there in July, August or at the beginning of September. We compensated of course at night! Best places to go to are Semeli Bar in Little Venice and Paradise Beach. What’s really popular is the Skandinavian Bar ,(named after the nationality of the first visitors of the bar), also located in Little Venice.
Again, like in Santorini we hired quads to cruise around the island. That’s how we discovered a really beautiful spot named Fokos Beach, the ideal place in case you look for a peaceful, quiet beach without too many people. In the surroundings of the beach there are many goats happily skipping. You really feel one with nature. Not to forget: there is a great restaurant too! If you prefer fancy places, you can go to Panormos Beach. Cocktails, fresh juice, great food. Absolutely marvellous.

About the quads: there is one place I absolutely advise you NOT to go to on your trip to Mykonos: Joe Scooters. Very unfriendly owners, rather rude and with a total lack of basic manners. We had problems with the quads constantly and the owners were never ready to help us out. At the end they even accused us of thefth of one of their helmets, one that we didn’t even hire! Absolutely insane. Their company is situated in the city centre next to loads of competition, so there’s a wide range of other offerings you can go to.
A really cool beach with awesome atmosphere and good music that we enjoyed on our first day was Kalua at Paraga Beach, where our hostel was situated (Paraga Beach Hostel).

See you soon guys!
